An investigation is underway into the disappearance of three tubers on the Muskegon River.

Jazzmin Hock, 28, Sara Vida, 28, and Kayden Kovalcik, 9, all from Muskegon, were last seen Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 4, at the Maple Island Boat Launch in Grant. They were believed to be using orange and pink tubes.

“The investigation began after the father of one of the missing women discovered her vehicle at the Maple Island Boat Launch with a window broken out,” Michigan State Police said. “Family members have not been able to contact any of the missing individuals.”

Search and rescue teams searched the area Wednesday night but suspended efforts after 10 p.m. Search efforts are scheduled to resume at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6.
